May be you can blame those stories on nerves, but remember: an interview is an opportunity for the company to see if you’re right for them, AND for you to see if they’re right for you.

So don’t start a fight with the interviewer, make sleazy comments about his wife or show off your break-dancing skills.

Chill out: get a job

It may sound like a contradiction, but according to the Belfast Telegraph, having a job to go to with colleagues to chat to, actually relieves stress.

It also says that climbing up the ladder has therapeutic values, as long as you maintain balance. (Not literally the sort of balance you need when you’re up a ladder.)
